EDU Applet Interaction Questions

EDU’s extesible API allows us to support several applet types. Using these question types increases the assessment’s ability to connect with different learning styles. Additionally, some questions are better delivered in a picture. Here’s a list of the current applet types in EDU:

Sliding Layers – student’s move items within the applet to show the correct answer. Here’s an example of supply and demand curves. The final state of the applet is recorded as the student’s answer.

Generated Labels – a picture is worth a thousand words. However, to keep a picture or graphic element useful, you may want to change part of it. Here’s an example of a physics question. The labels are algorithmically generated to provide more bang for your image’s buck.

Answer Plotting with Equations – EDU will generate both the equation and its plot giving the professor a wider range of assessment opportunities.
